Agroturismo Seliano

For lunch today we visited Agroturismo Seliano after visiting Paestum. At first we visited one location which Sarah and Kelli previously ate, and there was the cutest dog ready to play (but not be touched because of Overlake travel policy).

As beautiful as the tables there were, the location for our lunch had changed to their dining room closer to the farm and we hopped back into the bus for a ten minute ride, stopping once we saw the water buffalo.

For our lunch we got four courses including an appetizer, primi, secondi, and dessert. To start, there was a variety of foods given. There were two quiches- one artichoke and another egg-salami, prosciutto, fresh buffalo mozzarella made from the water buffaloes milk, and some eggplant parmesan.

The primi came out after—handmade gnocchi in pomodoro sauce— I don’t think a single crumb was left on anybody’s plate.

Some thought it was over but not yet- our secondi was lamb, potatoes, and artichokes. I would have to say that they were the best artichokes I’ve ever had (sorry mom).

After all that was eaten up we finished with some Easter style cake. We all left very happy and full.

Before we left, we took a loop around to see where all the magic happened—the water buffalo farm. There were hundreds of water buffalo that we got to take a look at and even saw some babies.

The day trip was beyond fulfilling and I would have to rate it a 12/10.
